Walker Chapel Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens proudly serves the veterans of Fultondale and north Jefferson County, arranging full military honors and helping families claim every benefit their loved one's service provides.
Full Military Honors
The folded flag presented to the family. The sounding of Taps. An honor guard from their branch of service. These traditions move every generation, and we coordinate them all — verifying eligibility with a copy of your loved one's discharge papers (DD-214) and handling every arrangement with the military.
Benefits Earned Through Service
Eligible veterans may receive a government headstone or marker, a burial flag, a Presidential Memorial Certificate, and burial allowances or interment in a national cemetery such as Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. We walk your family through the paperwork so every earned benefit is claimed.
