James “Jim” Ajamian, 72, of Mount Olive, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Born in Sommerville, New Jersey, on November 8, 1953, Jim was the beloved son of James Ajamian and Ruth Ethel Servis. He spent his childhood in Florida, where he developed the deep loyalty to the Florida Gators that he carried proudly throughout his life.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend—above all else, a family man whose world revolved around those he loved. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Martha Ajamian, who was truly the love of his life; his sons, Matthew James Ajamian and Anthony Aaron Ajamian, of whom he was endlessly proud; his sister, Candace (Dickie) Palmer; and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Gurganus. Jim also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who adored their uncle’s big personality and even bigger heart.
Jim spent many years in restaurant management, where his strong work ethic, quick wit, and natural ability to command a room made him unforgettable to coworkers and customers alike. He was known for being loud, lively, and impossible to ignore—in the very best way.
A U.S. Army veteran, Jim carried himself with pride and purpose. Outside of work and family life, he loved bowling and was an active member of a bowling league. One of his proudest achievements was bowling a perfect 300 game, a moment he loved to share and relive with anyone who would listen.
Those who knew Jim will forever remember his booming laugh, his unwavering devotion to his family, and the way he made every room brighter just by walking into it.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4th, from 5:00–7:00 PM, and Friday from 1:00–2:00 PM at Walker Chapel Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Friday at 2:00 PM, with burial at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
